Saturday Medal
Some really good scoring in windy conditions was the feature of the day on Saturday. An excellent gross 2 under par 69, off scratch around the East, from Andrew James, was just good enough to take the Division One Medal on Saturday on countback from Adam Tilley (Nett 69). Richard Tomlin took third spot with nett 70, and Simon Athwal taking fourth with a nett 71 on countback.
Division Two was won by Tony Schooling with a nett 70 on countback from Terry Page. Tony also won the Wynne Thomas Bowl for 16 handicappers and over to complete a great day on the links for him. In third spot was Graham Everett on countback from Louie Dods who both shot nett 72's.
4BBB Mixed Stableford
It was a photo finish in the fourball betterball mixed stableford, with the pairing of Jude & Alistair McKenzie taking the top spot, with 42pts, from the runner-up pairing of Michelle & Stuart Quinlan who shot 41pts. Janet & David Alldread took third place on countback with 40pts.

Catch Keith
Following on from my trip to FootJoy last week, Keith Elvin popped in the shop to show me a picture of him in a team photo with Jeremy Baldwin.
For those of you who know Keith, try spotting him and Jeremy is 4th from the right.
The Open before The Open
This week can often be overlooked. It's The Open next week and the majors certainly haven't dissapointed this year, but many people forget that the Scottish Open is a hugely popular tournament (you certainly don't catch Phil Mickelson at any other European Tour events). Many consider it the "mini Open" or, as the best warmup possible for the greatest tournament in golf. This is why this week can give a lot of hints and clues on who might perform next week, so read this article and get the lowdown on the Scottish Open, and click here to see when your favourite players are teeing off.
