I visited the Marquess course this week at Woburn for the Ladies British Open. I plotted myself up on the 2nd tee and got some really good swings for my library, with all the world's best playing in the pre-tournament Pro-Am. If you ever get a chance to go to a tournament I couldn't recommend this one highly enough, it's really laid back, the standard of golf is first class and the players are so approachable.
As I write this on Wednesday, I have already had a couple of people informing me that I am in the new edition of Golf World, which is uncanny because I was up in Peterborough yesterday for a photo shoot at their headquarters. Unusually, it was a studio shoot with me wearing red for the bad technique and green for the good. I believe it will be published in next month's edition.
The weather was more than kind for the
summer concert, it was Scorchio! Here are some photo's of this fun occasion.

Life begins at 50 We hear a lot about this new generation of young golfers who spend as much time in the gym as they do on the course; the guys who bomb it a mile and reduce 7,500 yard courses to pitch and putt.
Now, we're not saying
Paul Broadhurst doesn't go to the gym and we're not suggesting he's short off the tee by any means, but the 50-year-old thoroughly deserved his moment in the spotlight this weekend and it reminded us of one of the reasons we love golf so much - age is just a number!
'Broady' produced a flawless final round at Carnoustie to claim a two-shot victory at the
Senior Open Championship, a fine way to celebrate his debut in the event. The high-class field contained names - the likes of Tom Watson (66), Bernhard Langer (58) and Ian Woosnam (58) - who would have made Broadhurst feel quite the whippersnapper, as we were treated to a weekend of high drama courtesy of some of the game's biggest names from yesteryear.
This week sees the final Major of the season get underway at Baltusrol in Springfield, N.J., the drama keeps on coming! Whatever happens, you probably won't see a better final-day performance than Broady's four-under 68, quite some performance at Carnoustie we must say, check out the highlights if you missed the action.
