Retirement seems to be improving the golf of Dermot Kenny, he shot a very good 38pts to win the Midweek Stableford played over the East course. The runner-up spot was taken by Nick Glover on countback from Ian Haggert who both shot 36pts.
A very fine nett 69 saw Tita McCart win the Silver Division of the Medal played over the West Course from runner-up Dewanne Puddick who shot a nett 70. The Bronze and Breakthrough Broach winner was Rose Yazdani with a nett 69.
Monarchs of the Glen
It's been a stunning week for Sundridge Park member Gordon Hedley, as he and partner Bob Cameron won the PGA Super 60s Championship at Gleneagles.
With the battle with the eventual 2nd place pairing of Murray White and Bob Head heading down the 18th of round 2, it really could have gone either way, however Gordon scored a nett birdie to win the tournament, ending up 13 under for the tournament, and with a 3 shot victory.
Well done Gordon!

A date for your diary
With the Olympic golf behind us, our attention now turns to the Ryder Cup. Before that first tee shot on September 30, however, come the wild card selections on August 30. This is when Darren Clarke will name his three players who will join those who have already qualified (see below).
So, how is Team Europe shaping up? The following names are guaranteed their spot on the plane to Minnesota:
Rory McIlroy, Danny Willett, Henrik Stenson, Chris Wood, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Andy Sullivan and Matt Fitzpatrick.
Yes, some big names are set to miss out! However, the favourites for the wild card spots are Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer and Russell Knox. You have to say, it's a strong side given the likes of Graeme McDowell, Luke Donald and Shane Lowry are looking like missing out… maybe.
As the saying goes, 'One man's loss is another man's gain'. Fitzpatrick qualified at the weekend and his reaction was superb - well done that man.
Now I can't promise you'll be on the Ryder Cup team in two years but if you'd like to make some changes to help you move from a golfer who sits at home and thinks...'if only' to a golfer that enjoys their game more and has a chance to compete, click here to request a lesson or lesson package today.
Let the countdown begin…
Shane Lowry has entered this year's Made in Denmark tournament as he makes a final bid to be included in the European Ryder Cup team bound for Hazeltine, Minnesota in late September. "I can't wait to get to Denmark for what could be a big week for me," said Lowry. "I'm determined to play my way onto The Ryder Cup team.Lowry will be joined on the start list by Ryder Cup hopefuls Martin Kaymer, Thomas Pieters, Thorbjorn Olesen and Soren Kjeldsen who will all be looking to impress captain Darren Clarke and earn a wildcard pick for the great biennial team event.
