Sundridge Park prolonged the Kent County Seniors title as Terri was the Champion in 2017.
Nancy O'Connor and Kim Morris reached the last 8 in the main Championship. Very well played. Bassey Dunbar and Christine Edgar also played in the Seniors Championship, but were unable to play in the KO stages. Congratulations to all 9 ladies who played in very trying conditions. Rose Yazdani, Sundridge Park Lady Captain, supported the ladies on all 3 days and said "So pleased for you all, well done ladies you have made Sundridge Park proud and one happy Ladies Captain. Out of the 9 that entered we had 3 quarter finalists, 1 semi finalist, 1 runner-up and 2 champs... what an achievement".
The Butten Boys Trophy Brian Barnes, the six times Ryder Cup player and multiple European Tour winner was at Sundridge Park yesterday to present the inaugural Butten Boys Trophy. Brian was one of the Butten Boys from the 1960's and it was wonderful to hear his recollection of his time at Sundridge and his golfing stories from his lifetime in the game. The Butten Boys Trophy coincided yesterday to celebrate the completion of the extensive bunker and drainage works which have been carried out over the last couple of years. The first ever winner of The Butten Boys Trophy was Thomas Gamble with a tremendous score of 41 points and the runner up was Paul Greenwood with 39 points and in 3rd place Bassey Dunbar with 37 points. |
